Instruction:

De-humidifiers are only installed when the electricity is ON and also in kitchens and basements because they need electricity and to discharge water which they collect overtime. Only kitchen and basement is the area which has discharge lines to eject the water. ***Bathrooms are small area and although it has discharge line, installing a de-humidifier in a bathroom hardly makes any impact on the moisture of the other rooms due to vapor barrier.***

Damprid buckets are installed in all other areas to reduce the moisture in the air and prevent mold infestation. They do not need electricity to work. They can be installed even if the property has electricity on. Usually a damprid bucket or packet expires in 30-45 days. ***It is essential to change the damprid bucket or packet every 30 days so that it does not become highly saturated and stops absorbing moisture.***
